Sunday, April 6, 2008-The Third Sunday of Easter: Brothers and sisters in the risen Christ, with Easter joy we gather to give praise and thanks to our God, who raised Jesus from the dead. Today we walk with the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. Each time we celebrate the Mass, we experience some of the same things those two disciples experience. Like them, we listen to the scriptures proclaimed and interpreted. As this Mass begins, let our hearts burn within us as we meet the Lord in word and sacrament.
