Sunday, March 23, 2008-Easter Sunday:  Sisters and brothers in the risen Christ, this is the day that the Lord has made.  This is the day of the resurrection of Christ.  The Holy Spirit gathers us together in this sacred place to offer praise and thanksgiving to the God of life.  We are called to unite our own joys and sorrows to the Lord, who promises new life to all who put their trust in him.  Let us lift up our hearts, joining the angels and saints in a song of endless praise and thanksgiving.

A thousand thanks who joined in the parish Lenten Wednesday evening Mass and soup supper.  It was a wonderful time of parish unity and camaraderie.  To all of the soup makers, the set up and clean up crews-all of us partakers are particularly grateful for your superb culinary creations!  Kudos to the officers of the Ladies Altar Society who oversaw the soup supper project from week to week.

Alleluia” is their song!  Our parish family is indebted to the marvelous music provided by St. Francis choir throughout Holy Week.  We thank you for your weeks of rehearsal-the final product testifies to your commitment.  Your song added to our prayer and to our experience of Easter joy.  Thank you!
